The exhibition “Floral Fantasies – Between Symbolism and Outsider Art” (German: “Gewächse der Seele – Pflanzenfantasien zwischen Symbolismus und Outsider Art”) took place at the Wilhelm-Hack Museum in Ludwigshafen am Rhein (Germany) from March 30 to August 4, 2019.

The exhibition featured five paintings by M. K. Čiurlionis:

“Flowers” (Čt 81), 1906/7
“Summer” (Čt 79), 1907
“Summer”. Part I of a triptych (Čt 64), 1907
“Fantasy” (Čt 76), 1907/8
“Flowers (Willows)” (Čt 223), 1907/8

Artists featured in the exhibition: Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, William Degouve de Nuncques, Max Ernst, Barbara Honywood, Georgiana Houghton, Paul Klee, Hilma af Klint, František Kupka, Séraphine Louis, Odilon Redon.
