Sunday, September 13, at 10:00 a.m. M. K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art invites you to a seminar and experiential session for adults titled “Values and Emotions,” to be held at the M. K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art (55 V. Putvinskio St.).

The session is intended for anyone interested in art, psychology, and self-discovery.

During the seminar, you will be introduced to art therapist Sigita Stabinskienė’s original methodology and its application process, using the metaphorical associative cards “Values and Emotions,” which are based on the works of M. K. Čiurlionis.

The event format is suitable both for professionals—psychologists, art therapists, coaches, and educators—who wish to familiarize themselves with the methodology and learn how to apply it in their work, and for anyone seeking to better understand themselves and discover how the cards can be used on a personal level.

During the event, we will visit the M. K. Čiurlionis exhibition. As we meditatively observe his works, we will delve into our own experiences, feelings, emotions, and imagery. We will engage in therapeutic writing exercises, followed by group reflection.

The workshop will be led by Sigita Stabinskė—an art therapist and practitioner of humanistic existential psychotherapy.

“For the past five years, I’ve been working with adult groups at the museum using a methodology I developed myself. I’m delighted with this newly created tool, which can be useful to others—both professionals and people who want to get to know themselves through art and symbols,” says art therapist Sigita Stabinskė.
