On four Sundays in August, the IV professional music festival "Summer Sonata" will take place in the birthplace of M. K. Čiurlionis. Famous musicians from our country and listeners from all over Dzūkija will come to the Valley of Songs in Varėna, surrounded by a beautiful pine forest and sparkling water. Performers of different genres will interpret several of the composer's works in their own style, giving rise to wonderful improvisations and interpretations of Čiurlionis' works.

Traditionally, the third concert of the festival is dedicated to jazz. This year the audience will be delighted by the quartet of virtuoso Vytautas Straižys together with singer Gabija Baužaitė. It is a little secret that several of the compositions will be based on the works of M. K. Čiurlionis.

The Valley of Songs in Varėna await you with magical evenings throughout August.
