On four Sundays in August, the IV professional music festival "Summer Sonata" will take place in the birthplace of M. K. Čiurlionis. Famous musicians from our country and listeners from all over Dzūkija will come to the Valley of Songs in Varėna, surrounded by a beautiful pine forest and sparkling water. Performers of different genres will interpret several of the composer's works in their own style, giving rise to wonderful improvisations and interpretations of Čiurlionis' works.

A popular classical concert will feature the duet "Together in a Gondola", performed by Liudas Mikalauskas and Egidijus Bavikinas. This duo is one of the most beloved in Lithuania, wherever they go, a celebration is immediately born! Their extraordinary ability to communicate with the audience and their subtle sense of humour create an immediate atmosphere that makes every spectator feel part of the concert – clapping, singing, dancing and wiping away a tear of laughter together with the beloved singers.
