The exhibition “At the Origins of Abstraction (1800–1914)” (French "Aux Origines de l’Abstraction (1800 – 1914)") was held at the Musée d’Orsay (Paris) from November 5, 2003, to February 22, 2004. The exhibition included works by Frantisek Kupka, André Derain, William Turner, Paul Signac, Caspar David Friedich, Claude Monet, Odilon Redon, James McNeill Whistler, Wassily Kandinsky, Robert Delaunay, Francis Picabia. More than 150 artworks were exhibited.
