Sorrow. The cycle.

This is an emotionally charged fantasy landscape with clear psychological content. The black flags in this series of paintings resemble sharp-edged seaweed or black wings / flags. They are full of symbolism: the setting sun in the bay, the procession of leaning flags, the ruins of a town and a flock of departing birds. Meanwhile, the composition and colour palette fills the paintings with a painfully otherworldly gentleness. These symbols allow the viewer to read into the main idea behind this series.
